Newspaper bench
Newspapers and glue were about enough for Charles Kaisin to create an extendable, accordion bench. Because of layering and compressing it has the strength of wood and can actually be used as a piece of furniture. So have a sit! Its designer thinks that this honeycomb like structure can be easily replicated by almost everyone, becoming and affordable and interesting design. It’s good to know that newspapers live beyond today’s headlines.
With many projects alike, recycling is now not only a way of reusing materials to create new objects, but also a new designing field. New examples are here to come.
