An interesting form of origami coming from the hands of a London artist. Richard Sweeney’s first impressive work was a real-sized man, made out of cardboard and adhesive. This paper sculpture was fully articulated. An impassioned fever of paper modeling plus a lot of talent are the secrets of Sweeney’s amazing work.

He recreates forms found in nature, transforming them in interesting works of art. Paper was chosen as the perfect mean of his continuous form exploration due to its great malleability. The resulting organic shapes can reach even 80 cm in diameter. This is the case of complex sculptures made out by gluing the same (simple) shape several times.

From 2006 he started to show his works in different exhibitions and even as a temporary installation in a London fashion store.
