Grass wheel

This project brings nature at you’re feet. If you don’t have enough time to enjoy a walk in the park you can roll over a grass carpet while getting to the office. This is in fact another way of reminding people that, they are too busy running everyday, like little hamsters, while ignoring nature a little too much. A group of students from Dalhousie School of Architecture, David Gallaugher, Kevin James, and Jacob Jebailey, decided to remedy this problem creating a grass-lined wheel that you can rool with. It’s a simple structure made of plywood, mesh, fishing line and sod, but it has a strong meaning. It’s a playfull protest to the lack of green space in Halifax and around the world, while becoming an urban invention that shakes us up from monotony and normalicy, calling for a change.
