Beirut bullet lights
Beirut is trying to recover after a cruel war and there are some urban project aimed to reborn the city and its social life. And maybe the best way of responding to the war signs is art. All across Beirut you can find walls covered with bullets holes. This brings memories of violence, conflict and terror in people’s minds and they are hard to bare. But what if there’s some light on the other side of all this? And I mean literally. “The bullet lights” project invites people to look at things differently while even admiring a non conventional art project. It can also be an alternative to demolishing historical buildings just to get rid of the unwanted memories.
